Scottish Straights are known for their loyal, affectionate and gentle demeanour, often accompanied by their sweet, quiet voices, just like our girl Queenie. They are naturally curious and intelligent cats who love to be involved in family life and are often found following you from room to room. While generally laid-back and calm, each Scottish Straight has their own unique personality and little quirks that make them truly special. Their intelligence can be quite surprising! Our own Mr Bob, a kitten I proudly bred who is now living his best pet life, is so clever he worked out how to open the laser bin, and even loves jumping into the shower, fascinated by the movement of the water. Scottish Straights are also adaptable and can settle happily into a variety of living environments. They generally get along well with other pets, including cat friendly dogs. Our retired boy King even has his very own doggy pal!

With their relaxed and sweet nature, many Scottish Straights enjoy being held and snuggled. Queenie, in particular, loves being held like a real baby.  They often retain their adorable kitten-like spirit throughout their lives, providing what we like to call everlasting kitten love.  Their sociable and friendly personalities make them wonderful companions for all kinds of families and owners of all ages.   Scottish Straights have a moderate energy level and enjoy playtime, chasing a ball and exploring their surroundings, but they are equally happy curling up for a long nap. In fact, they could easily be described as professional couch potatoes! Their wonderful balance of playfulness, affection and relaxed nature makes them truly amazing family pets.
