My name is Julia, and Bindi Dolls is so much more than a just cattery to me. It is a dream that began in childhood, a journey built on love, devotion and a passion that has grown into one of the most beautiful parts of my life. It brings me so much happiness to see the families who open their hearts and homes to the kittens we have lovingly brought into this world.

The beautiful breeds that I love and appreciate with all my heart. My devotion to these breeds goes far beyond their beauty. I have a deep respect for their nature, unique personalities and adorable traits.

I feel truly blessed and fortunate to witness the miracle of life from the moment a kitten enters this world, through those precious first days, and as they grow into confident, loving little souls.

I am fascinated by animal instincts, intelligence and behaviour, natural motherhood and the beautiful responsibility of animal husbandry.

There is something profoundly humbling about sitting beside a mother cat as she gives birth, watching those tiny lives take their very first breath, and seeing a mother instinctively care for her babies. Every birth is a reminder of just how extraordinary nature truly is.

As a mother myself, I feel a very deep connection to life, motherhood and nurturing. Perhaps that is why raising kittens feels so natural to my heart.

"My love for cats began long before Bindi Dolls"

As a little girl, I had an undeniable love for cats. I suppose you could say I was destined to become the crazy cat lady! I remember playing with the street cats outside and feeding the stray cats that would visit our backyard every day. My only dream as a child was to have a cat of my very own. And somehow, all these years later, that little girl's love for cats never left me. It simply grew into something bigger.

"And this journey isn't mine alone"

I breed from my own home, where our kittens are raised surrounded by love, care and our family every day. This wonderful passion is something I am incredibly grateful to be able to share with my children. Sharing the love of animals with my children makes it even more meaningful. I love knowing that they are growing up understanding kindness, responsibility, compassion and learning about the wondrous beauty of life.

My daughter is my breeding partner, helper and second pair of hands. She assists me with births, caring for our kittens, playing with them and perhaps most importantly, she is our camera girl, capturing the most fabulous photographs of our babies. She also helps with our social media platforms and is the person behind so much of what you see from Bindi Dolls. Watching her grow alongside our kittens and share in this passion is something very special to me.

When you bring home a Bindi Dolls kitten, you aren't simply bringing home a pet. You are bringing home a kitten who has been kissed, cuddled, nurtured, watched over, played with and loved from the very beginning.

A kitten whose first chapter was written in our home, with our family, and with an enormous amount of love.

Why Ethical and Responsible Breeding Practices Matter?

For me, responsible breeding begins with one simple belief - Every cat deserves the very best life possible, built on health, dignity, love, and respect.

I am deeply dedicated to preserving the quality, health, wellbeing, and temperament of Pedigreed cats, while ensuring my breeding program is always in alignment with the Australian Cat Federation (ACF) Code of Ethics.

For me, Ethical breeding means putting the welfare of my cats first. At Bindi Dolls we carefully consider health, genetics, temperament, and responsible breeding decisions, with the aim of raising healthy, confident and well-socialised kittens in a loving and nurturing environment.

My goal is to uphold the most ethical breeding standards possible to protect, preserve, and improve the breed for future generations, always with love, integrity, and the wellbeing of every cat at the heart of what we do.

Breeding cats is a commitment built on devotion, responsibility, knowledge, continuous learning and genuine love for these beautiful breeds.

At Bindi Dolls we are proud Breeders guided by passion and purpose, we take great joy in seeing our kittens become cherished members of the families who become part of the Bindi Dolls story.

Born and raised strictly indoors

Our kittens are born and raised strictly indoors in a home environment. We have a specially designed nursery, where our kittens enjoy a safe, warm, and enriching atmosphere where our babies remain with their mother cat until at least 12 weeks of age, giving them the very best start in life. During this important stage of development, kittens learn valuable life skills such as litter training, social play, confidence, and appropriate behaviour from both their mum and littermates. Scottish and British cats are bred as companion cats and best suited to indoor living spaces with their humans, they are naturally very trusting and calm in nature.

Early socialisation

Early Kitten socialisation is something we are incredibly passionate about. Our aim is to produce and raise kittens of exceptional temperament. We have a bed set up in our nursery so we can spend hours cuddling, playing with, and interacting with our kittens daily. This one-on-one regular human contact helps them grow into affectionate, confident, and well-socialised companions who are ready to settle seamlessly into family life and become cherished members of your home. We pour our hearts into raising each and every kitten to the best of our ability with a deep love.
